Detox Series: part 1
The human body is a self-healing, self-renewing, self-cleansing organism that is capable of amazing feats. Its natural state would be vibrant well-being when the right conditions are created.
We have gone so far away from the ways of nature and live under less than natural conditions.
There are many people who don't believe in detoxing. Yes, our bodies are perfect in design, but they have not evolved as quickly as our toxic environment has. We were not made to be breathing, eating and drinking an abundance of toxic chemicals in our daily lives. Nutrient & enzyme deficiencies, inconsiderate use of antibiotics, hidden parasitic infections, heavy metal toxicity, pesticide poisoning, mold illness, and a sluggish liver is the perfect recipe for disease.
When we remove these obstacles and add what is lacking, our temples (yes, your body is your temple, give it some love) are easily able to bounce back into health as if by magic.
This is natural, common-sense medicine: giving the right tools to the body and enabling it to heal, regenerate and even rejuvenate itself.
Detoxing is now crucial in maintaining good health & longevity.
A proper elimination of toxins and waste is what it takes to maintain all of the inner-workings and the many other undertakings the body is responsible for.
There are six organs in the body that eliminate waste: LIVER, COLON, KIDNEYS, LUNGS, LYMPH, SKIN.
When one of these organs is compromised or slows down, it affects the other organs — further escalating the problem. When your body cannot get rid of all of the waste it needs to, it stays and spreads to other parts of the body, which results in sickness and even disease.
For example, when gut flora is imbalanced, unfriendly gram-negative bacteria can release endotoxins that lead to inflammation of the gut lining. These endotoxins, known as lipopolysaccharides, can then slip into the bloodstream and stimulate the immune system, leading to chronic inflammation. Chronic inflammation leads to oxidative stress, putting further stress on the body’s detoxification system. The liver becomes burdened, and shuttles some of its toxic load toward the kidneys. Bile flow becomes sluggish, and toxins in bile don’t flow easily out into the gut for elimination.
Skin disorders, fatigue, constipation and bad breath are all common symptoms that your elimination system is not working properly. Here are some clues that you are not eliminating as well as you should be, and it may be time to re-think your diet (avoiding inflammatory & toxic foods) and get your system back in working order.
8 SIGNS IT’S TIME TO ELIMINATE
– Your eyes are not clear and/or yellowish or red
– You eat sugar or white flour and/or drink a lot of caffeine or alcohol
– You feel lethargic and consistently fatigued
– Brain fog
– You need better quality of sleep
– Bad breath
– Constipation
– Skin problems
Stay tuned on the next blog posts for the Detox Series about how to open the detox pathways and how to support correctly each of these elimination organs.
It’s really important to make sure your body has the ability to release the byproducts of whatever you’re eliminating through detox organs like the skin, kidneys, liver, lymph, bowels, & lungs. If you start detoxing without these pathways open, you’ll be holding onto many of these toxins that will make you feel worse (flu like, fever, acne, rashes, fatigue, headache).
Empower and give your body the love it deserves!
Much Love,
Manuela
